Honey bread

  • 500g/2,5 cups of honey
  • 500g/ 2,5 cups flour
  • 1.5 tablespoons of baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon of anise powder
  • 2 yolks
Honey bread

We bring honey to boil, then cool. Then stir in half the flour, with the addition of baking soda and spices. Leave the mixture warm for a good two hours, then add the yolks and the remaining flour. We mix everything well. On a good flower board, we form two loaves, 3 cm or good 1inch high. Put them on a well-greased baking tray and bake at 200°C /400°F for 3/4 hours. When the loaves are cooled, we cut them into slices and enjoy them.
